Does the CS1500 provide a web service? You could use HTTPAPI in thatcase,
and it would be easier I think.
It's quite possible that there is a web service available from the CS
1500, but the tech most familiar with the switch has only accessed it
via telnet from the PC, and knows how that works. He just doesn't know
about the i.
You can write a sockets program that uses port 23 to communicate.
That will require getting myself up to speed on sockets programming
(starting from zero), but I know Scott Klement has a fine tutorial on
the subject - circa 2002.
