Not wanting to the the very old RLA vs. SQL discourse again, but surely

The link was sent only as a reference of the benefits of using DDL-defined
tables/indexes vs DDS defined ones. It seems that the performance gains
can
be quite significant and I thought this could be of interest in your
particular case.
On the other hand, I wonder what would happen if you substitute your
CHAIN/SETLL with a SQL SELECT?
And yes, the document is quite a bit dated, but most of the info is still
(I
believe) worth it.
