I've never heard of PGP keys being used in SSH (and SFTP).

However, it may be that the _file_ is encrypted with PGP, and it's being transferred using sftp/ssh (or even regular FTP). That's a very common scenario.

I just found out that there are different specifications for the SFTP that we have previously done and my current project.

Apparently when our operations manager set up the public and private keys for SFTP on the previous project, it used RSA "public and private" keys. The current project calls for PGP keys.

What is the difference between an RSA key and a PGP key?

Can we do SFTP using PGP keys?
If so, how is the Setup done?
Are there differences to the programming?

Thanks,
Charlie
