Since the Eth3 is plugged directly into the HMC2 port and Eth3 has the
IP of 0.0.0.0, when I ran the discovery tool, nothing was found. I will
attempt it again.

History:
My configuration came from no HMC and a remote 520. I created a vlan on
the switch and plugged the HMC1 port into the switch and used a second
Ethernet connection on a server at the remote data center into the same
vlan with a set IP. We do not run DHCP at this site.

Then we purchased this new system with the HMC and had it all setup and
configured here with Mimix, then shipped to our remote data center. Now
I want to add the old 520 to the HMC. What a mess.

Chris,

We did it a little differently, but, our HMC is was plugged into a
network hub on the same subnet as our new 8203 as well as our old 9406.
We powered on the 8203. On the HMC I select Systems Management,
Servers, then in the right panel under connections, I selected Add
Managed Systems. A pop-up window appears. I selected Find Managed
Systems, entered an IP address range and waited. It found the system
and then the real fun began. HTH
