We use client access through citrix and the citrix application specialist here wanted to know where the printer defaults for a client access session were stored. A user that is using the citrix client access session was losing their default printer every time they restarted the session. The citrix application guy wanted to see if he could keep that information somehow but needed to know where it was stored. Thanks for everyone's help.

Thanks,

That (i beleive) is pulled from wherever Windows stores the defined
printers.
Every windows defined printer should be there, plus the windows default
printer should be the default in CA.
What is your goal in working with this info?

Not talking about a created client access printer session. Talking about
the default printer that is setup for a display session for printing of
print screens through client access. From a display session you select
file then printer setup and it pulls up a dialog box that you can select a
default printer for the client access display session. I was wondering
where it stores that information.

The printer session (printername.ws) is typically saved here:

C:\Program Files\IBM\Client Access\Emulator\Private

Just to clarify I am asking about the printer default for a client access

session. When you select file then printer setup and then pick a printer

for that session to print to. Not the default printer for my user profile

for Windows all together. I could not find the reg edit entry you referred

to. I am running windows XP on my computer if that makes a difference.

Thanks,

The default printer is part of Windows, not part of Client Access.

It's saved in the registry - HKCU\Printers\Defaults
