Not aware of any thing that will convert a QU1 definition into SQL, but just in case you're underlying goal is to give end-users a more modern way to run QU1 queries from their Windows desktop and output them to Excel, Word, Access, etc., you are welcome to go to the page linked below and order a free product we call Qport Office. Well, I think RTVQMQRY does it, but not very well. As I recall,
converting a QU1 query to QMQry has problems with file joins of certain
types.

Alternative might be T.O.A.D, which is a client tool that supports Query
definitions. It probably suffers the same conversion issues.
