I've ftp'd the *.iso files over to my i servers and created the image catalogs directly from the *.iso's with a TOFILE > FROMFILE layout and they've
worked okay. Renaming them caused me some headache a while back and *GEN just uses up too much space.

I have created .iso images from CD, then pushed it to an image catalog and
used it to process PTFs or new program loads. I don't think that the system
i has an issue with it.
