When I wrote that I didn't think it meant the partition had nothing else
running in it. I was thinking it was a managing partition. Perhaps I should
have used the term managing partition vs dedicated. You certainly could run
things in the managing partition, although, best practices under Power4
processors had a very lean/thin primary partition where you ran nothing else
(applications) on it.

The partition runs OS/400 in any case.
