I just did an upgrade on a system, & we converted a IBM/Ricoh 4747 pin feed from twinax to the optional ethernet. It was an older model, but it works well.
They won't give up on having multi-part forms the customer signs once for a 3 copy form.
I did have to have a support call w/IBM on the config - this works well:

Also, if you go with the larger IBM/Ricoh 6500 line printer (which was at same site (no more twinax!!!), the *IBM6500 not work if printer in Proprinter mode-factory default) this works:

Does anyone know if this printer would work as an iSeries report outq when connected via Ethernet? We have had an old IBM pin feed printer for about 20 years and it finally broke. We only use it for label printing. If we can find a low cost printer to replace it we will, otherwise we will just change forms more often on our line printer.
