In talking with the network guys, after eliminating all possible software
things, they mention that they got a batch of bad switches. They are going
to try replacing the switch. We'll see what happens from there.

That's a guess I'd not make... We deal with network firewall permission
issues all the time. The network admins tend to block everything, then
open up what you need. Is there a VPN involved, or perhaps a SSL proxy?
Maybe a new MS security patch changed the defaults for the built in
firewall...

That all completes successfully. File transfers have been done in the
past,
but it was on a very old PC that has since been retired. I am guessing
network issues isn't a problem, but I won't throw it off the table yet.

Mike, have you opened a CMD window and tried the CWBPING<yourhostname>
command? This should show you all the connection services and thePC's
ability to access them. Alternatively, you could launch iNavigator orupload
RDi and use the verify connection option.

Subject: Data Transfer to iSeries Server Error
We have a remote location that is trying to use the Data Transfter to
iSeries Server program to upload data. I am able to successfully
theV5R4
same data they are trying to upload. We are both on iSeries Access
SI35856. The server is at V5R4 SI32972.http://www-03.ibm.com/systems/i/software/access/linux/guide/cwbcoer.html
They are getting a CWBC01047 error (
#CWBCO1047).techs
Being that I can upload sucessfully, I am guessing that the server is
running properly. This happens on multiple computers at the same
location.
The only variable my be the connection between the tow sites. The
herelist
call it a "slow connection". Green-screen however seems to work fine.
Has anyone else come across this? Any ideas on where to look next?
