WDSC/RDi doesn't do things exactly this way - if you use the formatting. And it's not consistent. But often it will put the comment right after the end of the command, with a space after the '/*' - if you try to enter a space before the leading indicator, it takes it out.

If you take the space out after the asterisk, you get and error. Now this is most of the time, but there are some commands that don't get treated this way - no idea why!

Accepted, but again usually has a leading space before the /* even if it doesn't have one after it. You only need a space EITHER before or after the /* to distinguish a comment from a special value. It's only when neither of those are present that misinterpretation could occur. However, I did say that some coding styles could break whatever "rules" are presumed by the parser.
