I know there have been replies to the direct IBM URL, but remember that IBM changes things a lot. My official answer is http://wiki.midrange.com/index.php/OS/400 which contains the requested link as well as OS release and support levels.

Subject: Chart of Models and Supported O/S

Hi, Folks:

I thought I could easily lay my hands on a chart/table that showed the
System i family of models and the OS versions that can run on them. I
started at the Midrange.com FAQ and then went on to Google, but my searches
have not been successful. I have a client running various models (170, 810,
525, .) and various OS (V5R1 -V5R4) scattered around, and they would like to
understand what it would take to move them to higher OS versions, perhaps a
uniform level, and perhaps i5/OS. They understand that some hardware
upgrades would be in order, and the purpose of this search is to determine
the scope of that.

Model V5R1 V5R2 V5R3 V5R4 6.1

Abc x x x

Def x x x

Would some kind soul be willing to provide a link to such information (I can
make my own chart if need be)?

Thanks so much!
