I think I was the one that originally posted the question. I still cannot use the 5250 emulation because of the "licensing" error. Thus far I am working around the issue using Telnet and doing as much as possible in Navigator. The emulator worked great for about a month, then quit, by the way, but Navigator has been solid. Hopefully that gives you a little confidence in that part.

IBM Support tells me that the error relates to the emulator not being able to get at the libraries that install into My Documents. Windows 7 does this a bit differently, putting that under a public user, which might be the problem. I have tried copying these libraries into my own My Documents area, but to no avail.

ÂI have not found anything official from IBM about compatibility with Windows 7. We have tested 5250 emulation and have not had any problems but we have not tested the full install of everything. Navigator being the piece I am most concerned with.

Main issue we have is the AFP driver, which does not work on x64
platforms. So we need to run this stuff in XP Mode.

Here's IBMs plan regarding Windows 7:

So there is an OS that has been available for since the beginning of
August, and it will take them until December to finally get their
software ready. Oh, and they plan to fix the AFP driver sometime in
2010.
