I agree with you, but I'm not the OP.
I'm also not the OP's customer (guessing there) and customers sometimes make
decisions we wouldn't make ourselves.
When they do that, the only decision I make is whether I assist them making
the best of a less than ideal solution or whether I walk away. Almost always
it's the former. Over time hitting a few speed bumps with the customer helps
you build up some trust and gets them to take your advice more often than
not.
I know you're right (gee, you remind me of myself sometimes) but being right
is not the be all and end all when you have to deal with customers - it's
more like bringing up children, after a while they start taking your advice
while pretending not to.

Unless your maintenance plan is to buy used 6262's on ebay I would think
that a newer printer would save money on maintenance, have the right
connections built in and perhaps use less energy, etc. And it probably
does a better job on low end graphics.
