After numerous attempts to IPL the system and other means to get the Model 170 back in operation, I went back to the reclaim IOP Cache Storage option.
I IPLed the system using the D side option. The system came up to the DST screen. I took the options necessary to work with disk units, work with disk recovery and reclaim IOP Cache storage.
The system did an IPL as it said it should.
NOTE: I left the system in the D side mode because nothing in the documentation told me to change it.

The system stopped with a A6005008 Message. (missing console).
I neglected to connect the adapter for the twin-ax console when installed all the cables as I am using OPS CONSOLE pc mode instead.
I have connected the cabling for the twin-ax now.

My question is: do I need to do the D side IPL again to complete the cache recovery or cam I just do a 02 B N IPL?

Thanks
