Kenneth--
SAVOBJ/SAVLIB use an i-series-only format. The only way to transfer
a file to a non-System/i machine is to copy it to a tape file.
That's assuming you don't have a communication link handy. Anyone
for SNADS?
INZTAP with "standard labels." OVRTAPF to your tape drive. I
believe that's where you specify tape file name, etc. Then CPYF
TOFILE(QTAPE) (or something like that).
If it were an SCS file, I'd use CPYSPLF to a database file, then copy
the database file to the tape.
Does the spooled file have overlays or other non-text attributes?
As far as an AFP file is concerned, someone with more experience will
have to chime in here.

I remember doing something like this MANY years ago, but I can't quite
remember what I did ....
I need to create a TAPE containing an AFP Spool File that in on an
iSeries *OUTQ, so it can be read and printed to an AFP capable printer
attached to an IBM Mainframe (MVS - Z/OS)...
Can anyone describe how I could do this?
