If I recall correctly, from a performance and compatibility
standpoint, it is better to simply remove the LF member and add it
back after the copy is done. That gives all the benefits of
deleting/recreating the logical. Without the overhead of MAINT(*DLY)
and the restrictions of MAINT(*REBLD)

Rather than deleting and re-creating the Logicals, it is better to
change their "Access path maintenance".
CHGLF X/Y MAINT() from whatever it was (usually *IMMED), to *DLY during
the copy-function, then *REBLD or *IMMED when the copy-function is
completed.
