Thanks Eric, you answered questions I had not thought to ask. Specifically,
BARCOOE support. I had looked at CRTDEVPRT and did not see Zebra. I
remembered that they used ZPL. Did not seem like it would handle BARCODE from
what I saw.

They can, but the print server dongle (or internal card) only supports
LPD, so remote OutQ must be used.

We do use HPT on ours, though I'm not sure why. The printer language
(ZPL) is all ASCII text based, so there's not really anything for HPT to
transform. You cannot use HPT to support the BARCODE keyword in an
AFPDS print stream, since HPT does not know ZPL.
