Yes, Paul makes it so much more complicated than it has to be.
Let me make an assumption. You ARE running QCTL as your controlling
subsystem. Sometimes we do, sometimes we don't - depending on the duty of
the lpar.
if so, then I wouldn't bother changing QCTL. Normally that only affects
one sign on screen and that's your system console. If you're like us,
that sees use only every other month when doing full system saves and what
not. Nice to leave that there as an escape route.
I would simply do this and be done with it
CHGSBSD SBSD(QINTER) SGNDSPF(MYLIB/NEWSCREEN)
You may have to bounce subsystem QINTER.
You can test it out on your test lpar before putting it into production.
