I don't know the answer - but I do recall that at a recent
meeting Dr.
Frank Soltis (considered the "father" of the system) said that the
current top-end i boxes were significantly more powerful than the
largest of the current z series.

That is interesting, thanks. And believable. The Power6 processor is
much more powerful than the CPU in the z. And the 595, if I'm reading
correctly can have 64 of them. The largest z maxes out at 32 processors
in a single box.
