The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
Dave,
Apologies to the Wizard of Oz, but "Pay no attention to
that man behind the curtain"... (sorry, Vern).
Check it out for yourself. Access for Web also provides
pretty decent print support for HATS with an interface so
simple even moi hooked it up. I think it also has an
internal cadre of IBM users, and you have to figure they
must be able to ratchet down the security enough to suit
them. If you go through the customization you will see it
is possible to be very granular with the security
authorizations-- in fact it can be downright tedious if you
touch every tailorable object. Fortunately there are group
concepts that can be used as well as copy/mimic from one
profile to another, so once you get the groups you need set
up it gets pretty simple. It doesn't permit anyone to do
something that native (i.e., "green screen") security
prohibits, so if you can do it via Access for Web and think
you shouldn't have been able to do that, there's a hole in
your security anyway.

You might be the only person in the world using that thing!
