I know I've seen this before but its just not coming to mind:

folder is mapped on ifs with *public *rwx
check in qp2term shows drwxrwxrwx

customer running windows 2003 Active Directory
iseries is at v454

username in windows is same as username in iseries
passwords are different (windows-complex; iseries-QPWDLVL 0

user does a tools; map network drive; \\qsysname\report and gets prompted for userid and password
responds with iSeries userid and password
fails; gets dialog with userid as <domain>username
repeat infinite number of times
Eventually OpsNav will show userid as disabled in tpcip; servers; neterver
enable userid infinite times;
repeat until oblivion is reached

Funny thing is that any other user can map a network drive on this pc with no issues.

windows tech says its an iseries issue; I'm not so sure;
