Does anyone know more about the availability of the DB2 Storage Engine for
MySQL? If it won't go GA soon, is there an open beta or only a closed
beta? Will it work with V5R4?

I have been experimenting with SugarCRM, and would love the ability to
manipulate the files from RPG as well.

As I understand the current situation IBM have finished their part of the job and it is now in the hands of the MySQL folks for their QA tests etc. It is up to them when it will GA. late 2008, early 2009 seems to be the consensus. It is supposed to work on V5R4 as I understand it, but haven't seen it yet.

For the SugarCRM files you should be able to use ODBC from your RPG code.
