Does your vpn allow having it's own pool of private ip's.
Example: all local users are 10.0.0.x
all vpn users are 10.0.1.x

this you could test for in a telnet exit or an initial signon pgm.

At times we want to restrict certain Users from access the
System i from remote location. But while they are in the
office they can access the System i.

So I can't ask the employee to let me know when they are
leaving the office, then go in and disable their User
Profile (they can work later then me). I would also have to
make sure I enabled it before they came in in the morning
(they may come in before me).

Am I under thinking this or ?? Is the issue Enable or
Disable a User on
the iSeries? Do you care if that user is local or remote? If
you don't
why can't you just diable the user profile? Maybe I missed
something
in all the posts?
