Hmmmm. The more I look that this IVM configuration, the more I am led to believe that i5/OS in NOT installed. I see only one partition in IVM but I can't quite see what OS that partition is running. Something tells me I should see 2 partitions if i5/OS is installed: 1 for VIOS and 1 for i5/OS, correct?

Maybe this express isn't as "express" as I thought. The configuration has: "5005 Software Preinstall" in the Hardware section but in the software section I only see the 5005 code listed in the section with "5692-A5L System Software", not under "5761-SS1 i5/OS". So maybe it isn't installed.

Should I see two partitions if i5/OS is installed?

Nice!

So the final step is now to connect to the i. I just need to figure
that out and I should be good to go. What should I set the IP address
of the LAN Console to ? Any idea why the "Open terminal Window" in IVM
is trying to attach to 10.0.1.20?

Use an unassigned, new one then re-IPL the IBM i partition. OpsCon
acts as a BOOTP server, and the i partition will retrieve the IP you
entered into OpsCon using BOOTP.

The "Open in terminal Window" is for AIX partitions.
