I need an ip or name to forward to.
FWIW: Assuming it's approved, I'm hoping to do a session at the COMMON
conference in Reno on email security.I'll be there!

Unless you're using a business grade internet connection (static
IP-Adresses with appropriate PTR records), most other Mailservers
SpamAssassin,classify your mail as spam.
Some might, but I don't think MOST will.
If the recipient mail server is using a spam scanner such as
using a non-business grade DSL line will certainly raise your spamscore.

As for an edge mail gateway, your best bet would be to deploy a Linux
LPAR running either Postfix or Sendmail. Both are excellent at what
they do.
Or install a Linux machine on a (relatively) inexpensive PC server to
as your public / internet facing mail server ... and I completelyagree
with Lukas on Postfix & Sendmail.
