The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

Alan Shore asked...
Is there a way to see if a field is null?
two items on this one...
first, to test if a field is null (like in a WHERE clause) use...
WHERE <fieldname> IS NULL
while saying WHERE <fieldname> = NULL will not work
second, use IFNULL() or COALESCE() for a way to assign a marker value
instead when the value being assigned is NULL
like = ( IFNULL( SELECT... ), <subst value>)
so you either use a WHERE and IS NULL to eliminate the assignment
or you specify a replacement value (0 or -1, etc) to go place of those
NULLs that turn up
thx & hth,
