Yes, any service tools user with sufficient privileges - as in all, for sure! - can change the password for any service tools user, including QSECOFR.

Just like any OS user can change QSECOFR there.

And I'm with you all the way on setting up users for service tools - for just the reason you give, primarily.

You can use your DST/SST Userid to change passwords for any user id
in SST/DST which includes QSECOFR.



BTW, I always create a few DST/SST user ids on every one of my
customers machines, so when they eventually screw up the DST/SST QSECOFR
password (and their own SST/DST userid), I can always VPN in and get them
out of a jam.
