I periodically save my journal receivers to tape & do not want my
receivers to *GEN as frequently.

We take down the subsystems weekly to perform a backup (we don't have
too much activity so we end everything).

It seems that when we start the system back up that it increments the
journal receiver.

Is there any way to control this to where it does not increment the
journal receiver each time?

I would like to increment these at month end, if I could.

To my knowledge, I do not have any other *GEN process within any job
scheduler.

Thanks.
