You can do a display list of objects to an *OUTFILE whose statistics include record count of each object, then query the *OUTFILE to find which are empty, at the time you check. Some files fluctuate in size during a normal work day.

Your CL to replace the *OUTFILE, can include doing this for a string of libraries where the first library replaces prior contents, and later libraries add their info to the collection. This gets you access to statistics on all the libraries of interest, in one *OUTFILE.

On our system, I have this setup to run to one *OUTFILE at beginning of week, another at end of week, then compare the two to estimate file growth. I am not so much interested in empty files than those with excessive deleted records.

I need to know which tables throughout several libraries have zero row count.
