There are some V5R4 APARs that may apply:

http://tinyurl.com/26xj6c
http://tinyurl.com/26httq

PTF listed for both APARs is SI28289.

If that doesn't help... perhaps it's a *LIBL issue. Check if you're using
*SYS naming syntax and if one of the calls is changing library list. Or if
*SQL naming, check if one of the calls is setting SQLPATH (that's the path
system searches for SPs and UDFs).

Other than that... data types have to match SP input argument declaration...
also, I've seen strange things with commitment control in the past and
PRTSQLINF may help here.

Subject: Intermittent SQL04444 trouble using SQL-CLI

Hi all...

I am using SQL CLI in an RPG program to execute a stored procedure that is
in a service program. My trouble is that I can process the stored
procedure just fine but when I exit and call my program again I'll get the
SQL0444. When I exit and call again it processes normally.

Looked in the archives and found info about having everything ALLCAPS and
that is taken care of. We are on V5R4.

I don't want to get into program logic much since it works fine every
other time I call the program. It just makes no sense why it can run
once just fine and not another. If anyone has seen this scenario or has
any ideas I would greatly appreciate some assistance.

Side note: The service program this procedure is in contains other
procedures doing similar processing with CLI and they function normally.

Thanks in advance.
