Is V6R1 in beta test yet, or is it still in alpha?

Subject: Getting Ready for V6R1
If you are a vendor of software for the system i then I strongly recommend
you attend this Webcast. Actually, if you are such a vendor you should
have completed this step months ago. Alas, many haven't yet. Preferring
to wait until they get V6R1 and test it with that. Which, in my opinion,
is like waiting until Y2K hit and testing your software on that before
shipping out a Y2K version of your software to your customers.
Getting Ready for V6R1 (Free to COMMON Members)
Speaker: Paul Godtland, IBM
December 5 - 12:00pm to 1:00pm Central time (1 to 2 pm Eastern time)
For i5/OS V6R1, all programs created for previous releases that use the
i5/OS Machine Interface (MI) must be converted. IBM will explain the
benefits of program conversion, and how you can use a free tool on V5R4 or
V5R3 to estimate conversion times and check whether you have any programs
that cannot simply be converted.
