I think that what might help is that you run ANZOBJCVN. Analyze the
results. What doesn't pass muster you contact your vendors and ask when
they'll have a version ready that will. Voice that what you want is a
version you can put on prior to upgrading to V6R1 so that you don't have
so much to do all at once.
If they do comply, rerun ANZOBJCVN and verify.
If they say they won't ship you a version that runs only on V6R1 then you
need to decide if that is acceptable, and if resistance is futile, then
how to implement it.
I'd also consider uninstalling any vendor product that you did a try and
buy and decided not to buy before you upgrade. It gets really frustrating
when their uninstall program no longer works because it fails ANZOBJCVN.
