I watched a Webex hosted by NGS today. Suffice it to say that I'll not be
recommending QU2 to any of my clients. NGS showed a slide that pointed out
that a shop with 5 developers, 40 regular users, and 10 remote sales reps
can expect to pay somewhere around $50K in licensing fees. This was for a
P10 machine.
No way will SEQUEL or the NGS product cost anywhere close to that amount.

I'm hoping the month since his post has brought some stability to this
product. I'm trying to decide if to pay the annual support payment for my
own development server or just drop the whole thing. Did not realize when I
ordered the "free" refresh it came with a 90 day kicker. Have yet to load
it. No time right now to play pioneer, and have customers waiting to see if
this flies before they take a step.

I've seen all the IBM promo stuff and demo. Looking for real life
experiences.

Language support for non-english users appears to be nonexistent. His blog
entry for 10/16/2007 was enough for me to decide that Sequel was a better
choice for us.
