I'm no performance expert, but I suspect that you could use a
performance monitoring tool like PEX or MPG to quantify the amount of
resources it takes to do Job Initiation and Job Termination 5000 times.
I have to believe that it would be measurable, and significant.
Do you have any performance measuring tools? The place to start would
be to try an initialize the Work Management pieces of each job.
