I have some information in my MAILTOOL FAQ about setting up SMTP that may
help:

www.bvstools.com/docs/mailtool/faq.html.

The troubleshooting and setup is for MAILTOOL (my email product) but also
applies to using SNDDST.

If you're ever in the mood to ditch SMTP, directory entries and MSF all
together, let me know. :) My MAILTOOL product along with the MAILTOOL Plus
Addon totally bypasses all this stuff.

Do you have your Internet Gateway entry in the directory?

ADDDIRE USRID(INTERNET GATEWAY) +
USRD('Allow OV/400 to send INTERNET Mail') +
SYSNAME(INTERNET) MSFSRVLVL(*USRIDX) +
PREFADR(NETUSRID *IBM ATCONTXT)

Subject: Problems with WRKDIRE & WRKNAMSMTP entries and SNDDST command
after V5R4 upgrade

Hi again,

We're finding the mess that was caused last week is bigger than we
thought.

1. WRKDIRE and WRKNAMSMTP are missing all of our users' names. Is
there an easy way to restore these?

2. Are there any other files I should investigate?

3. Even after adding a user to WRKDIRE and WRKNAMSMTP, the SNDDST is
still not working. (SNDEMAIL is working fine though.) The error
message is CPD9025 Errors on all recipients specified on request
distribution.

Thanks,

Glenn Gundermann
