I created a file with the job name as the key, the day of the week, start time, end time and sequence.
That let me enter the job, the days that it should run and the times...sequence is if there are multiple start and end times in a day. That lets me change the schedule in a file.
Then wrote a program to check the current day and times against the file and run a CHGJOBSCDE to reset the schedule date and time.
When the job starts running it continues to reschedule itself based on the file.
You could build something like this.

Subject: scheduled job to run every n minutes?
List,
I need to schedule a job to run every n minutes on certain days between
certain hours. At first inspection, it does not appear that WRKJOBSCDE
supports that degree of control. Is this possible at all on the iSeries? We
have two systems - v5r3 and v5r4. TIA.
