The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

IIRC in some release the STRTCP was removed from the default program
QSTRUP. And that same release the STRTCP function was moved to prestart
job entries in the subsystem description (*SBSD) object named QSYSWRK?
IIRC the start of the controlling subsystem automatically starts
QSYSWRK <and that *SBSD is even started when any subsystem is started
while the controlling subsystem is in END status; I hate that!> even
before the QSTRUPPGM is activated by the autostart job entry in the
controlling subsystem.
I believe the CHGIPLA STRTCP( choice ) is reviewed by the processing
of the prestart job. Of course if a version of QSTRUP is being used
that issues STRTCP irrespective of the CHGIPLA specifications, that
would override those chosen IPL Attributes.
