Chuck's right. Ideally you should stop storing your data using CCSID
65535. In the interim, however, (and please let it be the interim and not
your permanent solution) there is an option on the Excel - iSeries Access
add in that says to translate 65535 data. Check that.

I did a CHGSYSVAL QCCSID to 37 on our main production machine midday and
noticed no negative ramifications. Granted, you have to change older
files as time permits.
