Ah, the joys of digging thru IBM docs. I stumbled onto this oddly named
technote, but it is actually a handy index to many of the System Builder,
System Handbook, etc, I have been reaching for for years.

or "Where to Find Today and Yesterday's System i Technical Marketing
Deliverables"

Is there a V5R4 version of the "IBM eServer i5 and iSeries System
Handbook"? The only one I see is V5R3 at:
http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/redpieces/abstracts/ga195486.html

Wait! Here's Gospel that these models run on V5R4M0 and do not require
V5R4M5:
http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/redpieces/pdfs/redp5052.pdf
Printed page 489, pdf page 511, "12.1 Minimum i5/OS and OS/400 software
level requirements
for System i family of models"

I did not look close enough to see what spin of the I_BASE_01 CD is
required.
