Re: Deleting a folder from the IFS

Thanks Scott. I made the change and it works great. Now how do I execute
it in QSH? I looked on the internet but I can't find it.

Albert

Hi Albert,

How do I design parmpath so it can be run from qshell?

Qshell will pass it as a variable-length null-terminated (C-style)
string.

So instead of 'Path = ParmPath', you'd want to have Path =
%str(%addr(ParmPath)) and instead of PathLen = %len(%trimr(ParmPath))
you'd want to have PathLen = %len(%str(%addr(ParmPath)))

Or simply PathLen = %len(%trim(Path)), and put it after the
Path=%str(%addr(ParmPath)) line.

The point is that ParmPath wouldn't be passed as 256A, and wouldn't
necessarily be 256 chars long, you'd have to search for the trailing
x'00' (which is what the %str() BIF does) and copy it into a regular RPG
variable from there.
