Such a statement works for me on V5R3M0. If the release of DB2 does
not support the table expression in the VALUES(), then remove the
VALUES() and make the insert a full subselect of literal values and
fields. For example:
insert into mylibrary/myfile (warehouse, product#, description)
select 'WH','123456789', M.description from product_master M
where M.prdno = '123456789'
Or IMO, better than above:
insert into mylibrary/myfile (warehouse, product#, description)
select 'WH', M.prdno, M.description from product_master M
where M.prdno = '123456789'
