It was the firewall. Funny thing is, the support line document search shows
the failure code pointing directly to HOST TABLE ENTRIES where the IP address
of the host doesn't agree with the target. But it was the firewall and it's
been resolved.

No, that's why I suspect a remote problem. However, two things bug me.
1. I cleaned up some host table entries right before this happened.
2. Our Network Consultant has been changing our firewall to fix a
problem with SSL FTP.
So I'm still wondering whether it's our side or theirs.
