Is demanding a full system save reasonable prior to performing end of day
processing? After all, who knows what libraries, ifs directories, system
values, etc some berserk developer could update.
The point being that "a simple hardware upgrade" may not appeal to you to
experience the downtime of a full system save. Then again, there is a
legend of a company with a picture of an IBM CE on the wall with
directions to never let this person in the door because of damaged that
occurred because of one of these simple upgrades, done wrong.
