Since I've had so much luck posting to this news group, I figured I would
post about another issue I'm having with my cross AS400/MS SQL development.
On MS SQL, I have full object support in the adhoc programming environment
that I have in procedures and such. In other words, I can declare
variables, loop, use flow control statements, etc. in my SQL interface.

For the AS400 I use SQL Scripts in Operations Navigator and I can't really
do anything but set based selects, etc. Is there a programming interface
out there where I could use variables, etc. right in the SQL interface? It's
nice to be able to get your entire SQL object working to your specs only to
throw a CREATE PROCEDURE at the top and convert some of your variables to
parameters when you're done.

Thanks. RH
