Jeff,

An index in SQL should suffice for this..... Why did this get ruled out?

Subject: SQL logical file equivalent

All,

Still a relative newbie on it, but I recently started defining new files
with SQL, not DDS.

Now I need a logical file over an SQL-generated file. The logical will
contain all fields in the file. Neither a view nor an index seems to fit
the bill. Looking at the archives, I see in 2001 (!) where Rob submitted a
DCR to IBM on this because it wasn't available. Since I couldn't figure it
out, I created the logical with DDS for now. This made me gag, but I got
through it.

Is this doable via SQL? Thanks.
