Yes, if you want to remove the entries from the image catalog but want to
keep the image files themselves you must use RMVIMGCLE from the command line
or in a CLP instead of using the 4=Remove option from WRKIMGCLGE. It just
seems strange to me that IBM would have the default set one way when the
command is run from a command line and the opposite way when it is run via
an option on a work with panel.

So the thing to do is to use the RMVIMGCLGE command - is that the
one? from a command line - you get the option there.
