A little more detail: There has been no indication from IBM the S36EE is going away. There was an attempt to set a date on RPGII compiler (compiler only, not the execution of rpgii pgms), was retracted, but will likely reappear. IBM wants to stop spending money keeping the RPGII updated for new releases. The M36, the actual SSP OS was ended at V4R4 (i think). A note that IBM stopped shipping the S36 conversion utilities many release ago, so (unless using an old OS and hardware and the utilities as an intermediate step) you will be recompiling all programs, and recreating the DFU's if any. There will be a few operational changes if users in M36 on the 436, but I have not seeen anything they can't get past. There are several of us on the list who have recently done these conversions so ask any questions. jim franz----- Original Message ----- From: "Brian Crooks" <crooksb@xxxxxxxxx>

What is the latest version of OS400 that supports the S36 environment? Oneof my clients on an old 436 box is FINALLY ready to make change to the box.I guess 2 disk crashes in 3 weeks might have helped! Thanks Brian -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
