Brian, The reason why most people got a model 436 was to run the *M36 environment (i.e.: you did not have to migrate and re-compile, the bring the stuff would just run), but the 436 also had the ability to run the S36E. Is it possible that you are confused? The last release that the supported the *M36 environment was V4R4. The S36E runs today on V5R4. I just installed one last month.
