Vista Trail of Tears - Some Interesting Observations

Still having problems with WDSC. The latest thing I noticed is that if you
do an Uninstall using the Control Pannel logics, much is left behind and if
you try to do an install over this garbage, the installer will cast an
error. If you manually clear out these file stubs, an install will work
properly. 

 

The other fact that we observed this morning of the day light savings time
change is that the RPU blewup and would not work. When we check the log we
see references to the time change logics that where recently installed. I
will check again later today but I suspect we will have to have an APR to
fix an APR.

 

With a two gig machines the memory using during the install ran as high as
1.4 gig.
